The Arboretum garden center in the picturesque Irish town of Kilquade (IE) combines modern architecture with natural surroundings to create a unique shopping experience. The new building comprises five modern, wide-span greenhouses with an attractive façade design.
Special attention has been paid to the harmonious integration of the greenhouses into the adjacent park. The successful combination of innovative garden center construction and the surrounding nature creates a harmonious overall picture that perfectly underlines the character of the Arboretum.
In addition to the aesthetic aspects, functional and regulatory challenges, such as compliance with Ireland's strict building and fire regulations, were also taken into account. The Kilquade Arboretum is an outstanding example of successful international collaboration and demonstrates how well thought-out architecture and nature can form an inspiring unity.
