The old building lacked in energy efficiency, the showroom surface was too small, and moreover there was no parking space. In its new location, the available working surface for floriculture is of 1,100m2. The parking space for customers, set in front of the new sales area, is sufficient. When entering the shop, the customer is led through a path from the cold to the warm greenhouse through an intelligent dislocation of the shelves and pallets. Both the setting and the subdivision of the fresh cut flowers’ section have been developed so that the flowers can be featured in the exhibiting area even after the opening hours. A partition wall on rollers can be lowered to form a space that can be cooled. By doing this, much time is earned in terms of hand labor. From the outside, the Venlo greenhouse stands as one flat roof volume, thanks to its winsome design, with offices and meeting rooms to welcome landscaping customers on the first floor.
