The new installation of the education and research centre Schönbrunn was built in venlo structure, i.e. the roofs were designed as saddle roofs with an inclination of approx. 24°. The former 8 greenhouses were integrated in one block which is in turn divided into 22 compartments. The footpoint of the old greenhouses was almost doubled and now amounts to approx. 4,000 m². A cabrio house, integrated in the block but with a roofing that can be fully opened in contrast to the other parts of the greenhouse, was built in the south-western corner of the venlo block. The lateral walls can also be folded up thanks to a lifting wall. Next to the cabrio house, a perennial hardening installation was built in the outdoor area. While the pathways were covered with laminated safety glass, single-layer safety glass was used for the compartments.
