Location: Kaindorf (A)
Costumer/Owner: Arboretum Loidl
Construction time: 2010
Construction volume: 1.500 m²
The shop greenhouse was established on a surface of 1,500 m². It distinguishes itself through its high flexibility. Depending on the climatic requirements, the greenhouse can be opened on three sides through rollerwalls whereby maximum ventilation is ensured. The roofing surfaces are equipped with honeycombed, oval polycarbonate plates. Hence, shading shields are no longer necessary. A further particularity is the irrigation system, installed under the roof in contrast to the traditional practice. Any upcoming adjustment works are therefore facilitated. In total, a roofing surface of 1,700 m² was build and approximately 50,000 kg of steel were used during construction.
